We are getting a lot of positive feedback on our employee spotlights and want to keep introducing colleauges from travel audience. This time we have talked to Marzena Pallazzo.
Marzena, please tell us what you do at travel audience:
I am a Senior Sales Manager and I look after our partnerships with Tourism Boards worldwide.
How does this help the travelers?
I really like this segment as we get to show travelers beautiful destinations and inspire them for their next trip. Who doesn’t like to daydream about their next vacation?!
Tell us about your background!
I worked in the travel industry my whole career. I started in the airline industry working for LTU and airberlin in their New York offices and in different positions; then for the German National Tourist Board / Bavaria Tourism in New York, before returning to Germany to work for travel audience.
What is your big project at travel audience? Your big challenge?
We have several exciting campaigns with destination marketing organizations (DMOs) that each have their own challenges – working on them internally and also with the clients to make them a success is very rewarding and fun.
How long have you been working at travel audience?
I started working for travel audience in January this year.
Why did you chose the travel industry?
I love to travel, ever since I was a child I was exploring the world and always planning the next trips. I consider myself quite lucky to be working in an industry I am so passionate about.
Why did you chose travel audience?
I was very impressed with the innovative ways that travel audience uses to help travel brands reach their goals. I also loved the idea to work internationally with many different tourism boards and help them bring visitors to their destinations.
Why did you chose Berlin?
After living in New York for the past 13 years, Berlin was the perfect next step for me. Multicultural, vibrant, exciting and with a very unique energy.
Tell us about your work with Amadeus. Do you have a lot of contact with your colleauges around the globe?
I do work quite a bit with Amadeus colleagues worldwide and it is always a great collaboration – it’s great to be working together on joint successes.
What is your favourite travel destination?
Australia and New Zealand are two of the nicest places I have visited and I cannot wait to go back and continue exploring them.
What is your travel tip / #travelhack
Always bring a big sweater or blanket and socks for long-haul flights. I am always freezing!
What is the best thing about your job?
I get to work with incredibly talented and passionate people – we all support each other and we learn every day.
What is your hidden talent?
I like DIY projects and am slowly filling my apartment with self-made furniture and decorations. I love being able to recreate something I’ve seen somewhere that caught my eye. It’s quite rewarding to then see the final project.
